Verdict
Desert Doctor’s recent victory here came over a mile in a race restricted to amateur riders. Coco Bear rattled up a hat-trick in the spring but was more than six lengths behind TIRIAC when the latter finished a close second on soft going at Goodwood eight days ago. Jack Channon’s three-year-old can race off the same mark for now and could be the one to beat. Amazonian Dream has no form on ground this soft and has been struggling to get his head in front this year and Dream By Day is best over 5f but Under The Twilight won over track and trip in June and Lord Uhtred went close dropped to this trip at Yarmouth. Justcallmepete is in good form while a high draw could benefit Katey Kontent on the forecast going.
