In depth
Verdict
A competitive looking maiden with a few with chances of breaking their ducks including Cape Quest, Sound The Drum, African Storm and Rusky Dusky with the vote going to the last named. Richard Hannons charge improved from his debut effort at Newbury to finish third of ten beaten under a length at Bath over five furlongs on his penultimate start. Further progression came at Windsor last time out when finishing second in a twenty runner affair. A repeat of that performance will see him being hard to beat today. Stable mate Cape Quest ran well when coming back in trip at Windsor on his latest start. Jockey bookings are interesting as Pat Dobbs rode this horse last time out and is now replaced by Ryan Moore who would normally have the choice. None the less the horse can run well and any market moves may prove significant. Sound The Drum has his debut for the Gosden stable and looks a nice sort on breeding. He is bound to know his job first time of asking but no doubt will improve for the experience. African Storm has the services of Dettori and has produced two good efforts in similar company finishing a good second to Notjustaprettyface at Kempton on his latest start and is another to note in the betting market. But for the winner we return to Rusky Dusky.
