    Verdict

Border Patrol has the distinction of being the highest rated horse in the field, but after four victories in 2009, he made only two appearances last year and was well beaten in both. Tropical Treat and Russian Spirit look up against it, while High Standing and Palace Moon are hard to win with these days and are both dropping back in trip here. Tamagin has had only a couple of outings since 2009 and was tailed off on his recent comeback so this looks ELNAWIN's race to lose. Richard Hannon's charge arrives on the back of a win over 5f at Ascot, but given he went very close to landing this race last year when caught on the line by Sir Gerry, he looks capable of going one better in this company.
