In depth

Verdict

Clear Focus was hampered at the start and never figured when joint favourite at Bath last week. She's capable of better and still has the beating of Phantom Spirit. Ganymede came good at Kempton when dropped massively in trip but is over an even shorter distance here under a penalty. Razin' Hell is 5lb higher than when winning at Ffos Las in July while Caminel has failed to reproduce her winning form at Lingfield in July and is now visored. LEAD A MERRY DANCE is still a maiden but can do better back on Turf and with Richard Hughes doing the steering. She gets another chance ahead of What A Dandy and Connaught Water.
