Verdict

A chance is taken with THRUST CONTROL in this ordinary claimer; Silver Symphony has an obvious chance on these terms and, along with Mrs Boss, is respected as a more potent threat than most of the rest. That said, this is is also the right grade for Kirsty's Boy, who has been a good servant for Stan Moore; so a bold effort from the mount of Liam Keniry cannot be ruled out. The last named seems to reserve his best for the artificial surface at Lingfield, though. Mrs Boss is another whose best efforts have taken place on the all-weather tracks but she does posses the ability to take a hand at this level. Still, it's disconcerting that her attitude can sometimes get the better of her. Silver Symphony has struggled in handicaps of late and appears to be in need of a confidence booster. She certainly doesn't face the test of her life today, so it would come as no surprise to see her relish this ease in grade. However, switching to turf and the return to seven furlongs is expected be a combination that can bring the best out of Thrust Control and, with Mick Channon's yard starting to pitch in with a regular stream of winners, the portents look good for this relatively unexposed individual.
