In depth

Verdict

Le Chiffre has solid claims at the weights and on recent form so gets the vote to land what looks an uncompetitive claimer with the main dangers looking to be Marko Jadeo and Radius. Like the selection, Marko Jadeo has plenty of weight to carry and Simon Dow's gelding did run better at Goodwood last time but his overall form does not match that of Le Chiffre. Smokincanon may do better back on turf but is hard to recommend on recent evidence, while Awarding is on a long losing sequence and it is hard to see him changing that sequence here. European has every chance at the weights but has not been running well of late and a better chance is held by Hugh Morrison's Radius, who has probably found his right level. Le Chiffre has an obvious chance though and he gets the vote.
