Verdict

Gerald Mosse teams up with Clive Cox for three rides on today's card and Bobby Wheeler has claims on his opening fifth at Goodwood. He steps up in trip along with Gunman but the latter's stablemate Bag of Diamonds drops back in distance after a debut fourth at Sandown. STERLING LINES was unfancied in the betting for his debut at Goodwood and ran accordingly when fading in the closing stages over 6f. But entries in both the Mill Reef and Middle Park suggest he is capable of much better so he gets a speculative vote. Stable companion Marshal Dan Troop, Frank Cool and Amor Invicto are newcomers to note.
