        Verdict

        Soft going was a legitimate excuse for HAZM turning in a poor effort at Newbury last time and he’d finished second over track and trip before that. Tim Vaughan’s charge looks worth another chance on that form. Hawridge Storm edges this at the weights but was still well beaten when runner-up at Ffos Las and attempts this longer trip for the first time while Roving Mission drops back down in distance having failed to threaten over 1m4f. The newcomer Good Tidings is the first foal of an unraced dam but represents the Gosden yard and, as such, is worth a second glance.
