Verdict
Based on his old form REMEMBER RAMON looks dangerously well handicapped and is taken to score here ahead of King Supreme and It's A Date. The selection races over his optimum trip here having recorded three wins from six starts over it. He was a winner on his penultimate start when six pounds lighter and followed that up with a solid effort under a similar burden to that he carries this time. He's won off higher marks in the past and now he seems to be back in form he should take advantage of a light looking rating. King Supreme is now 10lbs above his last winning mark but looks to be in good heart having finished second best twice in his last three starts. The assessor hasn't made it any easier for him after those runs but he does like this ground so should go well. It's A Date is versatile as far as the going is concerned and has been running well of late and is still weighted to challenge while Outlandish is looking a little high in the handicap and the form of his yard is a little concerning at present. Good competitive stuff to kick things off with Remember Ramon looking just the one to side with.
