Verdict

A winner at Bath, Avenue Du Monde ran a shocker back at the same track last time when Percy Veer finished third. But the latter was still beaten seven lengths while Christmas Hamper has yet to show any worthwhile form but may do better now handicapping. Sun Odyssey is another handicap debutante to note but BRITTLETON may be good enough. He ran well to finish second at Lingfield when stepped up to today's distance on his reappearance and should be sharper for this.
