Verdict
A poor contest where GLOBAL CONQUEST may be able to find enough improvement to see off the more battle-hardened Poyle Meg. The selection is stepped up in trip after running well in defeat here over 6f on her debut last month. The Captain Rio filly stayed on strongly that day and so this extra furlong should play into her hands and with normal improvement she looks the percentage option. Poyle Meg remains a maiden after seven starts and has the most solid form of any of these. Trip and ground suit but she is clearly vulnerable to an improver and we will oppose. Super Academy has made the frame in both her maidens, and she can probably do the same again here. Handicapping will be her forte. The same can be said of Aphrodite's Rock, and Global Conquest is the one for us.
