Verdict
Motarassed, Marching Song and Sunset Strip look to the principles in the opener and the vote is given to Motarassed. The selection was beginning to get the hang of things when staying on strongly inside the final furlong at Yarmouth on his debut behind Personify. He is clearly well-regarded as he went off favourite that day and as he is sure to come on for that debut effort he is taken to score. Marching Song ran well behind Satchem at Newmarket last time, but he is dropped in trip and the suspicion is that he is probably better over further. Sunset Strip made a promising racecourse debut at Ayr but was then a little disappointing at Folkestone last time when he failed to see out the 7 furlongs. He will be suited by the slight drop in trip and with the faster surface also in his favour he should give a good account of himself. Palatinate is worth noting in the market on his racecourse bow but for the winner we return to Motarassed.
