With his yard in top form Mawaddah needs to be respected on his debut but to win this maiden we side with DELORIA marginally ahead of Kanaf. From a useful German family the pick made a promising astart to her career when overcoming odds of 20/1 to find just one too good. The form from the race is looking on the poor side but with a Group class entry on the agenda we can expect her to build on that. Connections have set their sights even higher for Kanaf who hold a Group One entry among his future assignments. He too offered plenty of encouragement on his first start finishing just behind a subsequent winner in third. Mawaddah holds a few fancies entries of his own and with breeding suggesting he can make a fist of it as a youngster we can expect a big run first time out. Tislaam has progressed with every start and is another on the shortlist but after so much promise on debut Deloria has the vote.
