Verdict

Power of Darkness is 7lb higher than when heading Wahash right on the line in this 12 months ago but he’s run well in both starts this year and looks ready to get his head back in front. However, he could find NICKLAUS a tough nut to crack as William Haggas’ charge has also shown a liking for this track and fast going and looked to be coming to hand at Chelmsford. Swift Rose has been highly tried this year and runs in her first handicap so can’t be ignored and a similar comment applies to King's Slipper, nicely treated with a few of these on collateral form and second twice here last year.
