        Verdict

        In this amateurs' event, Brief Goodbye is selected ahead of Lucayan Dancer and Robustian. Rated just three pound above a winning mark, Lucayan Dancer has to be considered here, as does Robustian, who now races from two pounds below his April winning mark. Brief Goodbye races once again from a winning mark and, having been just beaten from a pound lower mark over course and distance three runs ago, he is another to give some serious thought to. Prize Fighter looks reasonably weighted, and he can probably be forgiven his soft-ground flop last time, and Transvestite can't be ruled out if recapturing his very best form. Sienna Storm seems not to have progressed as expected, and the handicapper may have Sky Quest in his grip at the moment, the same comment applying to Uig. Finally, with Lilac Star racing from out of the weights, we return to the selection, which is Brief Goodbye.
