A high draw can be difficult to overcome on the sprint course here and Cork Listed winner Spirit Quartz and stablemate Iffranesia, fourth in a Group 2 at Chantilly last time, have been unlucky in that respect. Surprise Haydock winner Jane's Memory will also start out wide but Brando should have no excuses from stall eight and he is weighted to avenge his defeat at York in May by Duke Of Firenze. Monsieur Joe beat the useful Move In Time at Hamilton on Wednesday and makes a quick reappearance but three-year-olds have won four of the last five renewals and WILLYTHECONQUEROR can keep up the strike rate. William Muir's gelding won here in April and had to wait for a gap behind Easton Angel back at the track last month when finishing a couple of lengths ahead of the returning Soapy Aitken.
