Verdict

William Haggas sent out last year’s winner and runs Gaassee and Educator. Both drop down in trip today with Tom Marquand preferring the former while Eagle's Way and LORD PROTECTOR were not at their best in the same race at Goodwood last month. But both will appreciate this faster ground with Ralph Beckett’s charge taken to edge affairs given his previous victory over track and trip. The selection’s stablemate Baltic Voyage would prefer some give underfoot but Stay Well posted a better effort last time though is back up in class. Groundbreaker has undergone wind surgery in the hope of a return to form.
