In depth

Verdict

Miniaturist disappointed over 6f at York after a couple of placed efforts over 5f at Leicester and Goodwood and it's not certain that this even longer trip will be in his favour. Taqwaa would have overhauled winner Lucymai in another stride or two over 6f at Kempton, however, and should be suited by the extra furlong. But CARTAGO's third behind Hornsby over this trip at Newmarket looks better form and John Gosden's colt can open his account here. Recognition has a nice pedigree but many of his stable's juveniles have been needing a run this year.
