Verdict

The much-improved Chain Of Events beat VITAL EVIDENCE, Tobacco Road and First Post over course and distance three weeks ago and will make a bold bid to complete the four-timer. But Sir Michael Stoute's runner-up is probably the pick of the weights today and can take revenge on the way to opening his seasonal account. Air Pilot is running well while three-year-olds Stormardal and Rydan have decent claims, the latter producing a strong run to beat a previous winner here last time. Cactus Valley went close at Pontefract last time and blinkers may sharpen him up a little more but he really likes to hear his hooves rattle.
