In depth

Verdict

Guard Your Dreams beat SONG FOR SOMEONE half-a-length in the International Hurdle at Cheltenham in December with the same distance back to Hunters Call in third. Tom Symonds’ seven-year-old is 6lb better off with the other pair today, however, so it will be a surprise if he doesn’t come out on top this time as he is guaranteed to get the strong pace he needs over this trip with Global Citizen and Goshen both confirmed front-runners. The latter did trounce the selection in the Kingwell Hurdle at Wincanton a year ago but has become something of an enigma, though was hating going left-handed at Lingfield last time.
