In depth
Verdict
Plenty of old favourites in this, none more so than Satshoon, who will find this a little easier than some of the races he has been contesting. He wasn't disgraced over timber on his latest outing and ridden by last years winning jockey James Snowden, he looks the one to beat on this return to chasing. Plenty of dangers including course specialist Kings Mistral, who has gone well for an amateur in the past. Outclassed in his latest effort over course and distance, he will be much more at home in this company, but he does have something to find with the selection on official ratings. Simber Hill comes into this a fresh animal having not raced since the end of October and he has gone well fresh in the past, so he is one to keep an eye on, as is last years winner Folly Road, who looks to have been laid out for this event. Careysville, who was runner-up to Folly Road last year, is another who looks as though his campaign has been planned with this in mind.
