Verdict
Phar Again has paid the penalty at the hands of the handicapper for his win at Leicester and looks best watched racing off the same mark as when well held at the same venue when last seen with a better bet looking to be SOLE AGENT, who gets the verdict over Baseball Ted. The Philip Hobbs-trained gelding probably found his run at Ludlow coming too soon after his good second behind Consigliere at Ascot and has rather harshly been raised 5lbs for that so he may be best watched. Michael Scudamore's Arumun is proving to be hard to win with, while David Arbuthnot's Dominican Monk seems a shade high in the weights. Silver Adonis needs to improve considerably on recent form, while Royal Wedding has given little sign of encouragement of late and preference is for Sole Agent. Gary Moore's gelding was good value for his Folkestone success in January, lost no caste in defeat behind Pepsyrock at Newbury last month and has solid claims off just a 1lb higher mark today.
