Verdict

Mr Mafia is enjoying a purple patch having won three of his last four outings but is 8lb higher after scoring at Wincanton. VIVAS had been struggling to complete before the tongue-tie was left off at Chepstow and he finished runner-up ahead of Dancing Shadow. This is less competitive and Charlie Longsdon’s charge can go one better. Singlefarmpayment won one of these veterans’ chases at Ascot back in March while Gwencily Berbas also ran well when placed at Kelso in May.
