A bumper entry for this novices’ handicap which looks wide-open. Early Du Lemo was hampered in the early stages at Chepstow and that appeared to affect his confidence – he is capable of better. PRIVATE MALONE lacks a recent run but has more experience than most of these and that could be crucial over these tricky fences. Emma Lavelle’s charge has solid placed form in this grade and should give a good account. Magoo was unbeaten over hurdles but the handicapper has taken no chances on his chasing bow. Glen Rocco jumped well when scoring at Fontwell but Inaminna was soon left behind at Ascot on his fencing debut. The Bottom Bar may prove the pick of Nicky Henderson’s pair and a case can also be made for Kings Walk, Oh Land Abloom and Warthog.
