Verdict
Dream Prize may have the scope to defy topweight, and is the pick over Altilhar, And Again and Gracechurch. Dream Prize looked one to follow when beating subsequent winner Macorville in a heavy-ground maiden at Ripon in April, but for one reason or another, has not been seen since. A 170,000gns yearling, he is related to German Derby and Oaks winners on the dam's side, and has reportedly been striding out well on the Racecourse Side gallops in readiness for his return. He may prove to be better than a handicapper in time, and is worth supporting on his comeback. Altilhar returned to winning ways over this trip at Brighton recently, and is still attractively weighted, while And Again will appreciate the better going here after finding Lady Disdain too good at Ripon. Gracechurch is versatile as regards the ground, and showed signs of a return to form when third at Haydock recently. He was fancied that day, and another good run is on the cards here, but we still prefer the claims of Dream Prize.
