The drop in trip should see Victoria Sponge in a better light and she can cream her rivals here; Enderby Spirit and Cash In The Attic joining Always There on the shortlist. The selection has had two starts to date, both over six furlongs, with the latest outing being a slightly disappointing run at Goodwood. That track is not for everyone though and she had to race on the outside, so assuming that she can get a bit of cover if required, she is fancied to get off the mark. None of the newcomers really catch the eye, and so the biggest danger could be Enderby Spirit who looks well-drawn and ran a fine debut at Thirsk having been backed to do so. Piccolo Mondo will need to improve on his first start, as will Alexander Newstalk and Always There if they are to feature. Cash In The Attic has shown a bit of ability in three starts and looks the other danger; however it is Victoria Sponge who can take the opener.
