Verdict
In a tricky maiden, the betting might provide some clues, but from a short list containing Blue Citadel, Houghton, World Of Choice and Tasheba, we will nominate Houghton as the selection. Ones that have to get a mention here are as follows. The well-related John Gosden newcomer, Blue Citadel. The well-related Sir Michael Stoute-trained newcomer, Houghton, who is a 140,000 guineas son of Sadler's Wells and a half-brother to Yellowstone, amongst others. Rattan, whose debut second over seven furlongs brings him right into things. Hughie Morrison's 110,000 guineas acquisition, Rock Peak. Sainglend, who has shown promise on each start to date, including when a fair third at Chepstow last time. Summon Up Theblood finished just behind him in Wales. Silver Regent, who has also shown promise on each start, including over seven furlongs here last time. The Peter Chapple-Hyam-trained Tasheba, who cost 72,000 guineas. The Godolphin-owned 700,000 dollars purchase World Of Choice. Finally, Yathreb, who ran green but showed promise at Ascot on his debut, and Tyrrells Wood, who has shown promise on each start, are worth a mention. The selection, though, in a tricky race, Houghton.
