Verdict

Sparte Quercus was well backed to resume winning ways at Chepstow earlier this month and gave his supporters few moments of worry. But he has a penalty to overcome in better company now and others are preferred. Casement looked progressive at Ffos Las and warrants another try over the longer trip. Capton finally opened his account on soft going at Newbury and is only 3lb higher but this can go to FAST AND HOT as Richard Hannon’s four-year-old is very reliable and has run well off this sort of mark since scoring at Windsor in July. Zzoro beat a small field at Newmarket in May but has reverted to type again since.
