Verdict
The softer the ground the better for TAKEITFROMALADY, who won on heavy as a two-year-old and ploughed through the Windsor mud to score on his reappearance. Far from disgraced when second to the unexposed Fast Or Free at Newmarket last week, Ralph Beckett's gelding can recapture the winning thread here. Hefner finally got off the mark at Lingfield last time but was behind Dark Stranger there previously and both have to prove they'll handle the soft. Opinion won on soft going at Windsor in April, however, though didn't reproduce that run at Goodwood next time while Sondeduro is taking on better opposition that at Bath. Spirit Of The Law and Ventura Spirit aren't without a chance but probably need to improve a little.
