Verdict
VILNIUS went very close last time out despite finding plenty of trouble in running and she can gain a deserved win at the main expense of Duchess Dora. Mick Channon's filly was only narrowly denied at Brighton last time when she was well-supported in the betting. The winner looks fairly decent and this filly is rated better than her mark of 62 when getting her favoured quick ground. Palisades Park should find this surface more to his liking than at Goodwood last time, True Red's recent second in selling grade reads fairly well, as does Bush Master's (admittedly fairly distant) third to stablemate Gene Autrey at Windsor. Duchess Dora has been upped a couple of pounds for a recent second to Skylla at Haydock, and whilst that would appear to make life tough, she should find this easier company more to her liking. Monte Mayor showed plenty of resolution when successful at Chepstow last time in desperate ground and although conditions are very different here she should go well. An open heat, where the betting should help, however it is Vilnius who is narrowly preferred.
