In depth

Verdict

CADEAUX PEARL represents the all-conquering Hannon yard, is well drawn and has the best form on offer so has to be the pick but there are some interesting opponents from amongst the opposition. The well bred Clever Man was well held behind a Hannon runner at Windsor but ran green and can improve whilst Partout Le Magasin is entitled to come on for his run in a competitive Ascot maiden. Both Ezzles and Oh My Days look the part on paper with the latter being related to a couple of useful winning juveniles and it will be interesting to see if they attract any market support as both hail from yards that are capable of readying a debutant. Cadeaux Pearl made his debut in a race that had fallen to his yard for the two preceding seasons but he ran green and struggled to get involved after missing the break; there was much more to like about his second outing where a well bred Gimcrack entry was 5 lengths back in third and Cadeaux Pearl can take another step forwards here.
