Verdict

Wafi Star represents Simon Crisford who has made a fine start to his training career and looks an interesting newcomer, along with Blackout, the only mount of the evening for Richard Hughes on a Hannon contender. Both should be watched carefully whilst UNDER ATTACK (NAP) and Et Toi both showed promise in the Newmarket maiden won by Ibn Malik. The former was noted staying on especially well in the closing stages and it' s hard to see the Meehan inmate closing the considerable gap which separated the pair that day. Sir Michael Stoute's juveniles traditionally improve for their initial experience and the son of Dubawi can oblige. Cymric was thought good enough to contest the Chesham Stakes at Royal Ascot on debut and showed more than enough to be of strong interest. He looks the main danger for John Gosden and Godolphin.
