ROUGE NUAGE can race off a lower mark on the Turf and nearly took advantage when third at Epsom in a Class 4 contest. He should go close in this grade racing off the same mark and is preferred to Royal Normandy. The latter won at Leicester last month but came up short off a higher mark on the all-weather three weeks ago and Brighton winner Black Caesar suffered the same fate when beaten at Kempton last time. Gannicus won at Brighton earlier but was below par at Wetherby on his latest start.
