Verdict
Transvestite may be up to this at the expense of Padre Nostro, Voice Mail and Trifti. Transvestite has gained two career victories so far, both over shorter than today's trip, but the gelding has been campaigned over a mile-and-a-quarter since last October, so John Hills obviously feels that he has the stamina to prevail. The four-year-old went close at Epsom last time when third under today's pilot Patrick Hills, nephew of the trainer and son of jockey Richard Hills, and the pair should again make a bold bid. Padre Nostro has been holding his form well of late, and caught the eye in defeat behind Celtique at Newmarket. He should have a say in proceedings as well off a light weight, while Voice Mail, who has been something of a Bath specialist in the past, would have claims on the best of his form. Trifti has been plying his trade on the all-weather, and if adapting to this return to Turf, is also worth a mention, but the vote goes to Transvestite.
