Verdict

Jacks Last Hope has been back to his best this summer but has been raised a further 4lb since his half-length second to Carinena at Perth. GABRIAL THE GREAT certainly isn’t badly treated and, though chasing lately with mixed success, could be the one to be on here as Mighty Missile has been disappointing since a close second at Bangor in May and Venue also has a bit to prove at present. Another course and distance winner, Beyondtemptation, returns from a well-earned rest on a high enough mark and Jokers And Rogues has been absent even longer and usually needs a few runs to get up to speed.
