In depth

Verdict

Justwhateverulike is much better over longer trips and the fast ground won't play to his strengths. Stolen Light scored over the C&D in September but is now 13lb higher and was well beaten at Perth last week. Overbranch is much better over hurdles so this should go to DESPERATE DEX, four times a winner over fences including on good going at Kelso in October. Sea Venture was having his first start for almost a year when up with the pace for a long way here last month and should have come on for the run.
