Verdict

HUGHESIE is 0-8 over hurdles but has won around here over fences. He can’t get much lower in the weights and there have been signs lately that he’s ready to open his account over the smaller obstacles. I'm Still Waiting has been making steady progress and makes his handicap mark on a fair mark so should be thereabouts. Gran Paradiso won a novice event here in August and has had a couple of outings over staying trips on the Flat at Pontefract lately so is another with claims but Captain Mowbray continues to creep up the handicap despite failing to win any of his 15 previous career starts.
