In depth

Verdict

This all seems to revolve around whether Argaum makes the long trek up from Newton Abbot having been entered in the finale at the Devon track yesterday. He would certainly be on the short-list if making an appearance as he seems to have been revitalised by a visor. Claude Carter has been knocking on the door, while Pete always travels strongly in his races but often finds little off the bridle. Samizdat is starting to come down the weights again but we'll presume that MYCENEAN PRINCE needed his run at Worcester last month. His defeat of The Tiddly Tadpole over C&D in April has worked out well and Karen Tutty's charge should go close today with Brian Toomey claiming 5lb.
