Verdict
Show No Fear, Assumetheposition, and Seafire Lad are the three to shortlist here and Show No Fear gets the vote. Assumetheposition does have a couple of wins to his credit and has recently been campaigned unsuccessfully over fences. His earlier form in selling hurdles was respectable, being placed on a couple of occasions earlier this year, and he can handle fast and soft ground. He can reach a place. Seafire Lad has the credentials to go close here. Lightly raced, he won a similar race at Market Rasen in similar conditions and last time out ran a good race in defeat to be second at Musselburgh. Show No Fear was a winner of a novice hurdle at Perth two years ago, and was fourth in a handicap hurdle here in September. This represents a distinct drop in grade and Show No Fear can land this contest for intrepid punters.
