TRANSACT is an obvious starting point having won a slightly more competitive affair at Newcastle last month when racing from out of the handicap proper. That was a significant step up on earlier efforts by Martin Todhunter's son of Trans Island, who is fancied to go in again here. Cosmetic may not have stayed the longer trip last time and is better judged on an earlier third off this mark over today's C&D. He should go well along with Market Rasen fifth Bubses Boy but Donny Briggs has been very disappointing since winning a bumper here in 2008. Mycenean Prince and King's Chorister are closely matched on recent C&D running and look best of the rest.
