In depth
Verdict
The three against the field in the opener are Millicent Cross, Canada Street and Chef De Cour with the strong vote going to the last named. With a double penalty to carry after back to back wins at Kelso and Perth early on in the summer Chef De Cour comes here fresh after a break and looks the type to progress through the season and the fact that this contest looks to have little strength in depth means that a hat-trick looks to be on the cards. Millicent Cross is unexposed with only two runs under his belt and should improve but he was beaten a long way last time out. Canada Street could pose as a bigger danger as the yards horses are in good form and although a faller on his only start to date last year he should be noted in the beating market. But for the winner we return to Chef De Cour.
