Verdict
The Navigator is 2-3 on the track but hasn't been showing enough lately while Monte Igueldo was found to have an irregular heartbeat when pulling up at Catterick after attracting support. PURPLE KING had dropped to a winnable mark when bolting up at Sandown's Military meeting last week. He's picked up a 7lb penalty but today's rider claims 2lb more than a week ago so a quick double looks on the cards. Ellaat and Gaius travel over from Derry and the former, twice a winner at Thurles in the autumn, looks to have a real chance while four-times hurdles winner Cousin Oscar has been waiting for better ground which he should get here.
