Verdict
Bushido appears to be progressing along the right lines and looks the safest choice in a tricky closer. Sue Smith's ex-Irish performer showed considerable promise when chasing home subsequent Victor Ludorum hero Far Pavilions in December and confirmed the merit of the form by going one better at Carlisle earlier in the month. Entitled to improve for the outing and with further progress anticipated, the son of brief Truce should prove capable of defying top weight. Rotuma was well behind the selection when the pair clashed in December and looks held on these terms while Sunridge Fairy has had his limitations exposed in handicaps since landing sellers and claimers last autumn. Lady Stratagem looked to have a future when lifting a Kelso novice in October but has not progressed and is hard to fancy off her current mark.
