In depth
Verdict
MALPAS has fallen in two of his three hurdles starts but was third in the other and would have made a winning debut at Catterick had he not come to grief. If he puts it all together, he is capable of landing a contest of this nature. Winning pointer Cooper's Cross has placed in a hurdle and a jumper’s bumper but Spantik has disappointed on the Flat since finishing fourth at Wetherby.
