Nonrunner

In depth

Verdict

Yorkist was second on his racecourse debut at Wetherby and probably matched that effort when third over today's C&D subsequently. He should be thereabouts again while Grate Fella is almost certain to improve on his third at Market Rasen. But PONTIFICATING need only reproduce the form of his second at Downpatrick on his debut for Donald McCain to go one better here as Now Its My Turn has been off the track for the best part of a year. Desperanto looks the pick of John Wade's two runners ahead of Irish By Name while Lisbon could be best of the rest.
