In depth

Verdict

LOUIS LUDWIG will win this if repeating his Worcester effort of a week ago. Tim Vaughan's charge had previously shown nothing but he hardly came off the bridle in that conditional jockeys' event, scoring by 11 lengths and value for double that margin. He gets to race off the same mark here and looks at least a stone well-in, so it'll be disappointing if he can't collect. Nobel's sole hurdles success came here and he's in decent heart, while Lady Wright drops in grade and needs watching for market support. Bari Bay is tried in blinkers and she went well in them on the flat so from a rapidly declining handicap mark she's another with each-way claims along with Harcas, who ran well on the flat 17 days ago, but this race revolves around Louis Ludwig who should be exceedingly hard to beat.
