Verdict

Carters Rest won a novices' handicap here last month but is 8lb higher in this. BROTHER SCOTT has been gradually getting his act together over fences and is eased in grade after seconds at Carlisle and Kelso. Providing they go a decent gallop, the seven-year-old can come good today as he's getting 5lb from the returning Pistol Basc, who would also prefer a bit further. Odds On Dan appears to be going backwards and Zazamix has yet to show much improvement for a tumble down the weights.
