Verdict
Chip N Pin probably found the going too testing at Hexham when disappointing last time and looks worth another chance today back on better ground, getting the vote ahead of Cornell Precedent and Park's Prodigy. The last mentioned looks to be going the right way over hurdles but a penalty for his success at Newcastle last time leaves Pat Haslam's gelding with more to do today. Peter Bowen's Serabad, a Listed race winner on the flat in France, has been highly tried in two starts over hurdles but has to be respected in this company. He makes more appeal than Domino Dancer who was well held on his hurdling debut at Bangor recently. John Quinn's Cornell Precedent has shown a decent level of form in his three starts over hurdles but he may not find it easy to give a stone to Chip N Pin who gets the vote.
