Verdict
A tough race to call here for punters with very little between many of the leading lights but the principals look to be Ocean Tide, Cody and San Peire and the narrow vote is given to Ocean Tide. The selection won well last time out when beating Business Traveller and although he has a penalty for that win he should improve again for this longer trip and under conditions that suit he is taken to defy the handicapper. Cody rates the main danger as he also won well last time out when defeating The Maseratti Kid. However this looks tougher and he will need to improve again to defy his penalty and his best form is also on a slightly faster surface. San Peire loves this track and is another that could go well but he just gave the impression the handicapper had caught up with him when third behind General Duroc last time and for that reason he is opposed. Of the remainder Moustique de L'Isle was behind the selection last time and although better off at the weights still has a little to find while Dark Thunder looks on a handy mark and is from a yard in form so could go well at a price but Ocean Tide looks progressive and he looks the one to be on.
