The booking of Richard Johnson for DOWN TIME has to be a plus. The top weight has won on Fibresand since finishing second to a prolific winner at Catterick last month and can race off a 2lb lower mark. The Late Shift could be interesting after a much-improved third at Wetherby, though he was pulled up behind Cumbrian Farmer at Catterick on New Year's Day. Simmply Sam arrives off the back of a win at Newcastle but does her best work on soft going. Crinkle Crags may still have a bit of scope but Our Phylli Vera is on a long losing run which stretches back over two years. Dalby Spook looks best of the rest.
